As a newcomer I made a mistake.. I had not realized there was a deadline to release players.. or for that matter didn't know I couldn't release during fa.. I spoke to scott.. he told me to talk to the league. .
Currently my roster is full with 96 million in cap.. as a new team I wanted to build through the free agency.. but not knowing I couldn't release killed me..
I wanted to know if after the RFA period ends and before UFA begins I could make some releases that I planned on making on Tuesday (after rfa started).. So that I can be active..
I need your guys approval. . Thanks,

I'm totally cool with this too. Good idea Nick.
Are we good with this for all teams? Should we have something like a 48-hour period in between RFA and UFA to allow for player releases, promotions/demotions, and a chance for everyone to tweak their roster? After that we'd begin UFA and then all teams will need to fill at least 37 majors spots by the end of UFA.
Not trades though. Trading will open after all Free Agency is complete.

Actually I'm ditto with Nick. I pretty much maxed out with Kershaw, but am at 40 players with TWO minor leaguers on my ML roster. I think I'l only need to drop a couple of minor league guys.

I agree with all on this one. I agree with Chuck because fantasy baseball is about having fun and we have no reason to damper an entire season for a newcomer because he missed a deadline.
I especially agree with Scott because these player releases should be fair for all teams. It would not be fair if I had chosen to keep a player by the deadline and news broke that that player would miss the entire season after our deadline had passed. Or maybe I decided to keep a borderline keepable bench player with this being his last year on my fantasy contract and he signs with a Japanese team after our deadline and I could have released him making more room for free agency. But if a similar situation occurred for another team and he got to drop players after learning more about his players after our deadline, then that wouldn't fair to all teams.
As I previously said, I agree with everyone here. I was just using some examples of why we should allow releases for everyone if we're going to allow releases for one team (I'm not being biased, and I doubt I will even release anyone if given another opportunity).

unless we think Nick is benefiting from some late breaking news on a particular player (we are talking maybe 2 or 3 days worth), I don't think we should allow everyone else to make moves. We all knew the deadline. I still support Nick and any new owner who didn't know the rules to be able to drop people.

If you want I can release the guys now.. I still won't have the room until ufa.. so you don't think I'm benefiting. .

Yeah, I'm certainly fine with this. Lots of unique rules for a new player to get used in this league. Agree that it should be open for all (not that that was ever in question)...

Really appreciate all you guys jumping in and supporting Jon and Nick! Definitely feels like a brotherhood of fantasy baseball friends!
There's no doubt those two will be able to make some roster adjustments in between RFA and UFA. We do need to decide if this will be allowed for all teams. There are several who feel it should be open to all, and there are several who feel it shouldn't.
I want to state that there's probably not a definitive clause on this in the rules. Who's keeping track by the way of what I need to add into the Constitution? That will be done before the season opens. So having said that, which way do we go here?

My personal opinion is all roster moves need to be completed before the start of RFA not some random date.

Scott - if you have multiple supporters for both sides, just put it to a poll

Thanks guys. Mine was mainly just being able to drop a couple of minor league players because of the trades I made last minute.
