Quick poll here. Right now we have a deadline to release players prior to Free Agency. Then player releases are generally not allowed during the RFA and UFA phases. Once Free Agency is complete and all teams have at least 37 players on their 40-man roster, then we open up trading again and allow player releases to resume.
The question now is (since a couple of the new owners are getting up to speed and will be allowed to release players in between RFA and UFA) - should we allow all owners this same opportunity? Some may argue no, stick to our existing deadline and make sure you plan ahead before FA offers start. Others may argue that allowing this additional opportunity, albeit a small window - probably 48 hours, will instill more activity and enjoyment of the league, plus being able to tweak rosters prior to Unrestricted Free Agency is an added benefit.
Please vote in the poll above. Thank you. Scott
