Hi guys. All along I've planned on starting the Initial FA bidding draft on Monday night 2/4, the night following the Super Bowl. This is where we offer contracts to any players that were not kept or any other MLB free agents not on any of our teams. I've had this in our League Rules since the get go.
Regardless of what we decide to do with a Minors snake draft or claiming Minors players each month (still to be finalized), this Initial Free Agent bidding should has no bearing on that.
For the courtesy of all owners as we are getting our current rosters set with players, salaries and contracts, I am simply putting this up for league vote. You must fill at least 37 out of your 40 MLB roster spots by the end of this draft. So if you've kept 30, you have to sign at least 7 more. If you kept 28 and have acquired 4 in trades, that's 32 and you'd have to sign at least 5 more. Some guys are ready to begin but I know some might not be. All teams/players have been inputted to Fantrax (thanks to Andrew and Taylor helping me out), so it should be pretty easy to see the rest of the players still out there that are eligible to be offered free agent contracts. Remember, minors eligible players cannot be offered contracts in this Initial FA bidding.
So let's see what everyone has to say. Thanks. -Scott

Sorry, guys. I didn't mean to create this poll with the results always being shown. Andrew pointed out to me where the option is to show results after someone votes. I can't change it now that the poll's already started. I know now, so moving forward, future polls won't show results until after you vote. Don't want what you see there to sway your opinion or make you think that your vote doesn't matter. I expect all 15 of us to vote when there's something we need a decision on. Thanks.
