I reached out to Ryan about a couple big bats with expiring contracts. I had to use a lot of prospect capital to make it happen, but hopefully Alonso and Machado can help push my offense up a bunch of points and at least help me lock in 2nd place. I can tag Alonso and will RFA Machado and see what happens. Thanks to Ryan for working this out with me.

LA Mets confirm. Dealing Machado and Alonso was tough, but I was likely going to have to RFA both and would be unlikely to be able to afford at least one, if not both. So getting as much value as I could became the goal. Appreciate Drew reaching out and working with me to get it done.
