I approached Brandon about Taylor Ward after he put him on the block, and we grew the deal from there. My team is desperate for bats, and though Ward is the only one who may help me past this year, I needed to make this move to have a shot at finishing in the money. Hopefully Lowe can get back on track and give me something as well. I'm quite high on these prospects, but have accumulated enough depth that I thought this made sense. Thanks to Brandon for helping figure out a way to make this work!

Colorado agrees.

I am re-tooling and adding some depth with serious upside in the prospects. Taking on some salary with Polanco who has not had a great year but could be a nice bounce back candidate in the second half or next season. If that happens he could contribute or be a viable trade candidate.
