Patrick Sandoval, P (LAA) - '24: $0.5M
to the Texas Giants for:
Heston Kjerstad, OF (BAL) - prospect
Jace Jung, 2B (DET) - prospect
Joey Loperfido, OF (HOU) - prospect
Cade Povich, P (BAL) - prospect
Sean Sullivan, P (COL) - prospect
Landon Knack, P (LAD) - prospect
Colorado Logic: This was a hard one. While I hate to move Tucker, it is clear that I am not just one player away. I think it is time for a total rebuild and this is step one. With the highest finish of 6th (in 2018!), I need to commit to the future. Tear it down. Tucker was, without a doubt, my most valuable piece. This nets me 2 top 100 guys that are very close in Kjerstad and Jung, a borderline top 100 guy in Povich (rough 1st MLB start aside), a guy that I think is going to be a stud when he gets regular PT in Loperfido, a nice back of the rotation piece in Knack, and an impressive project in Sullivan. Sandoval was a wash for me here as he has been on my bench for the past couple of weeks. This is about building for the future and it's bittersweet. Great back and forth with Houston on this deal. Best of luck to him and his Texas Giants.
