Your roster as it is on Fantrax (plus active or recently won bids) is what we will be going off of to determine salary cap space and roster size space. You must anticipate that you will win every bid you make, and thus must have a roster spot and available cap space (with an allowed $10M cushion).
We’re using a 12h clock straight from the start (no 24h initial window like in RFA). So whenever a player hits 12 hours (starting from 9 AM Eastern on 3/8) that player's bidding will be closed.
When you nominate a player, please have the player name, team, and position in the subject.
Unlike RFA, player contracts may be of a more varied structure, only abiding by the following rules from the Constitution:
The longest you may sign a player to contract at the league minimum ($500,000) is 2 years.
The longest you can sign a player to a contract with an average annual salary of more than $500,000 but less than $750,000 per year is 3 years.
The longest you can offer ANY contract is 6 years.
There will be an opportunity to restructure a successful contract within 48 hours of completing the signing by replying to the Unrestricted Free Agency Contract Restructures thread within the 2024 Free Agents folder.
Please also remember the following:
If your roster is below 36, you must have 2 active bids on players.
If your roster is at 36, you must have 1 active bid on a player.
If your roster is between 37-39, no active bids are required.
If your roster is at 40, you are done with free agency.
It is quite a bit to monitor and it won't be perfect, so please just do your best, help each other, enjoy, and have fun!
