Reasoning: Continuing to rebuild in Cinci, so we're moving vets for prospects and picks again. Cannon's already in AA as a 22 y/o, and although he doesn't really have great strikeout upside, I think he's a decent bet to stick in the White Sox rotation as an innings-eater type, and he should be up sometime next year.

NY confirms. Really hate to give up the newly acquired arm with the perfect name for a pitcher. However, Wells allows me to have depth in the rotation for a few years and maybe slater will get more frequent at bats. As Daniel said, quick and easy talks. Good luck to him with the rebuild.
