Cincinnati trades: Jeff McNeil 2B/LF NYM Alex Cobb SP SFG Kevin Kiermaier CF TOR
Texas trades: Michael Busch 2B LAD Sebastian Walcott SS TEX Andrew Heaney SP TEX Lance McCullers Jr. SP HOU
Reasoning: My squad is unfortunately looking like one of the bottom-feeders, so I'm taking this opportunity to cash in some veteran talent for a couple prospects I really like. I reached out to Houston when he mentioned Busch being available because I really believe in Busch's bat. We'll see if he can ever carve out a real role w/ the Dodgers, but I like his chances to contribute to a fantasy squad eventually. Walcott is one of my favorites from this most recent international class. He's just 17, so we'll check back in 3-4 years I guess, but I think he has legit star potential. I had to take back some salary to make the deal work, but I don't mind taking a swing on McCullers and Heaney. It's obviously gone very poorly for both of them this year, but I think they can rebound, and hopefully that will present an opportunity to flip them later this year.
Easy talks w/ Houston. Glad we could work this out.

Contracts added for record:
McNeil 23: 20M Cobb 23: 7M Kiermaier 23: 1M
Heaney 23: 4M 24: 5M McCullers Jr. 23: 7M
Texas agrees. I like Busch alot, but with 5-6 IFers projected to meet Rookie minimums this year, I don't expect to be able keep them all. I felt Busch could fetch a solid return and without a certain position to call home, I could't plan where he fit with my team. Cobb has been a solid starter, and felt his chance of success down the stretch is greater than McCullers or Heaney. Kiermaier and McNeil will push off some non-everyday players from the starting lineup and help push towards a title this year. Great talking with Daniel and best of luck!
