Since Kluber was acquired on 3/14/22 via a trade, I thought the price to drop a player in the first year of an acquisition was 50%. Is that correct ?

Trades have no effect on the cap hit percentage. Since they were not signed in 2022, cap hits for Cruz and Kluber are 25%
