Reasoning: I reached out to Drew when I realized that I didn't think I could afford to keep Cole and Giolito and put an offense on the field. This required shuffling a lot of New York money, but we made it work. I do not like losing Cole, who will likely put up 300 Ks again this year after leaving the Giants, but getting Judge is well worth it. Salary relief helps too. Best of luck to Drew and the Jays.

Confirmed. I've been working all offseason to ramp up my pitching, and hopefully this can be the end of that process. Cole gives me a steady ace, and I like Montgomery's chances to take a big step this year. Escobar gives me a backup 3B, which was a position I needed to fill. Giving up Judge is tough, as he is obviously a beast. Pasquantino is a prospect that I'm very high on, but my team also has tons of 1B. This deal gives both Houston and I what we need to start rounding out our teams!
