Chicago Jays trade: Prospect Austin Wells C NYY Prospect Nate Pearson P TOR Prospect Justin Foscue 2B TEX
to Pitt Orioles for: LF Tyler O'Neill STL 22: 500K, 23: 500K
All of my guys who had LF eligibility last year lost it this offseason, so I set out in search of left fielder. The cost was steep on O'Neill, but my team is in a position where I think it can compete now, and O'Neill improves that chance. I'm worried about his strikeouts, but I'm hopeful that he can provide enough that he's valuable even if the average drops some. Pearson is a guy that I have been a big fan of for a long time, and I hope he can finally put together a healthy run for Silas. If Wells stays at catcher, he's a beast too, and Foscue has good power. Silas and I had some good back and forth to get this one worked out!

I think a win/win here. Pushes my timeline out to when I took over and started drafting my team. Regretted not drafting Austin Wells, doubt he sticks at Catcher but worth the gamble on a left handed power bat at Yankee Stadium. Fescue is another fringe top 100 guy that seems to have a nice approach. Pearson is the wild card. Nice buy low guy that still has the same big arm that made him a top 10 not too long ago. Working to build a nice stable of young controllable arms and he fit that profile. Hated to lose O’Neil after a break out, and he’s still only 26! Hopefully works out well for both sides. Will look to do other similar deals and very much enjoyed the process with Drew….. but still couldn’t squeeze a 4th prospect out of him
