My pitching isn't strong enough to compete this year so I'm moving some big names to hopefully build my future. Getting Gray in return, along with some of my current pitching prospects, will lead to a better pitching staff in future years. I like Dubon to cement my middle infield in the future and Eovaldi is a place holder until my pitching prospects come up. The other prospects have a lot of potential and help to offset the loss of Winker and Staumont on cheap contracts. I like this trade for both squads because we each accomplished our goals of trading for now versus later and vice versa.
