Reasoning:
I have been after a statistically well-rounded OF for a while this offseason; a LF who I see as regularly undervalued is exactly what I need. I HATE to give up Drew Waters, but he is not in a position to contribute this year and I have some doubts about his future. The pick swap benefits us both: I get to pick this year, and Henry gets to bump up a couple spots and wait a year. Best of luck to Henry and the Nats!

[Henry (Cleveland Nationals)]

Cleveland accept. It’s tough to give up Blackmon who has served me well and has been the model of consistency, but Houston asked me about what it would take to move him and this seems like a fair price. I have no idea whether Waters will work out but he is high risk high reward, and it will be good to have a second rounder next year too. I haven’t done much work on this years draft so can’t hurt to defer gratification in that regard. Best of luck to Houston and the Giants and hope this trade works out well for us both!
