Giants/Nationals trade

[Houston (Texas Giants)]

In the first trade of the offseason:
Giants trade Zach Collins, C - CWS (prospect)
To the Nationals for JT Realmuto, C - PHI (pending FA)

This one is easy for me. Realmuto will make a great tag player that I can lock up for probably his best years as he starts with Phillies in their upswing. Collins is a solid catching prospect, but with a lack of experienced catchers on my roster/available to sign. Definitely makes sense for me.

[Henry (Cleveland Nationals)]

Cleveland agree. It’s rare to not tag a star like JT, but in my position it makes sense to move him somewhere he can be prospect tagged, as he is extremely good at a shallow position and still 28. And I think Collins is reasonable value back as a guy with a shot at being a solid C-eligible player. Hopefully this can end up being a good trade for both of us!
