The Phila. Astros send:
-1)Joey Gallo - Tex - 2019-2021: 500K,
2) Starlyn Caastro - Phillies pitching prospect,
3) 2nd Parent selection 2020
The Detroit Brewers send:
1) Ryan McMahon - 1B - COL - 2019-2022: 500K
-The reasoning is that I am in a win now mentality and with Gallo taking a tough injury( Hamate Bone), I needed to solidify my 1st Base position this year. Since McMahon has that eligibility this year along with 2nd base, I thought it was worth the move. Giving up a nice Phillies prospect and a future pick along with Gallo was tough, but well worth the risk. Trade talks were pretty easy with Tony, I wish him the best with his re-build going forward.
