to Astros for:

Gerrit Cole SP - HOU            19: 5M
Carlos Correa SS - HOU       19: 500K
Logan Forsythe 1B,2B,3B,SS - TEX   19-20: 800K
Alfonso Rivas III 1B - OAK   (prospect)
Osiel Rodriguez SP - NYY     (prospect)

Reasoning: Although I give up two all-star players, I believe I am selling high on Gallo and the Sox right fielder has shown *some* regression this year (just some, I'm not crazy). This deal gives me the opportunity to make a pitching push towards a top 3 finish this year, and also secures me an ace Franchise tag and Superstar Prospect tag for next year. They two will solidify a superstar base for my team with deGrom/Trout/Bregman. Threw Samardzija in to balance out salary and added some prospects to balance out some of the years of control I gave up. I wish all the best to Gallo and Betts as they had to a STACKED team who has a legit shot at the title this year.  Easy negotiations with Chuck and I'm excited to top off yet ANOTHER big deal in this league.

Agreed. I am pushing for a first ever "Title" this year. My offence has been lagging this year so I knew Houston had interest in Cole and Correa from previous trade discussions so we came to an agreement with Betts and Gallo coming to my team. This is truely a Blockbuster !! I wish Houston all the luck with his team moving forward. Great discussions and negotiations.
