Taylor Ward needs to be passed through waivers as he had over the 130 AB's in 2018. You only get a Freebie when the player is under the 130 AB' threshold.

Hey Chuck, hope all is well! Don’t you get two options, one before and one after the threshold?

As far as I know, if you promote a player to the majors you get one free demotion before he hits the thresholds. Once a player exceeds the thresholds and is on you 40 man roster, he must pass through waivers before he can be demoted.

Ahh got it- from the constitution:
2) A player with zero as a salary can be optioned off the 40-man roster and back in to the minors only once before crossing the AB/IPP/APP minimum and only once after crossing the minimum.

This only applies to someone who has a "0" salary. Taylor Ward's "0" salary was in 2018, he surpassed the 130 threshold. His salary this year is 500K. So he now must be passed through waivers.

Oh right, my bad! Anyone on a 0.5M salary goes through waivers as you say...
