Reasoning:
I have plenty of good SP, but no one elite. This buys me 2 years of a true ace while my pitchers develop. Any he is one of if not the best in the game. Able to RFA after 2020 as well. Very valuable. With the emergence of Gallo this year, McMahon is fairly expendable. Beeks stats are odd and hard to value based on the Tampa Bay Rays system. I believe he and Liberatore will both ultimately have success, but I am going to push hard for this year and next and deGrom helps me do that! Easy and fun to negotiate with Tony!
