-The reason for this trade is that I am all in for a Title push this year. Matt Carpenter fits a need to help me get over the top. The 3 prospects are pretty good and should help St.Louis/A's with their re-build. It was easy dealing with our newest owner, Eric. I hope this works out for both parties. Good luck Eric!!!

for me it was easy: Not knowing in year 1 for this guy how much FA will cost, so wanted to clear one of my pricier players in Matt Carpenter and get 24 million ovr back into the coffers and 10 off 2019 Books.

As a HUGE Wsox fan, I wanted to get a prospect who I really like who is not yet quite premium player, but has the bat to potentially get there in THE MICKER. Should have that elbow issue behind him. Buddy Reed nice athlete, but just a depth guy at this point and I think Tabor has a chance down the road to eat up some innings for the Diamond Backs.
