My justification is very straight forward - Stanton and Archer are not part of long-term rebuilding for this team as they are both on one-year deals. I'm betting on four high upside, controllable guys. Fingers crossed.

After a couple of years of rebuilding I am trying to start building my team for players I can control that I hope to be impact players.  I have more than enough Cap space to sign both players long term.

I gave up 4 talented players but all with question marks.  as discussed with Chris; Brinson strikes out a ton and may never reach his potential, Robert could be a stud but the hardest uys to let go are my two pitching prospects.  I still have alot of depth at this position in my minors and cap space to add a few guys in FA. 

In the end you have to give up talent to get talent in return.
