3) Cionel Perez - Houston Astros pitching prospect
4) Alex Wood - SP - LA Dodgers -2018( 3 Mil), 2019 ( 5 Mil) - Prospect Tag contract

St. Louis Athletics send:

1) Gerrit Cole - SP - Astros - 2018( 3 Mil), 2019( 5 Mil) - Prospect Tag contract

-My reasoning for this trade is that I am going all-in this year to win a title. Gerrit Cole has rebounded nicely from his down year in 2017 and would be a great asset for a chance at a Title. It was tough parting with 3 nice prospects + Alex Wood, who had a pretty good year in 2017 with the Dodgers. I think it was worth the risk. I hope this trade works out for both teams. The negotiations were smooth with our new owner, Eric. Good Luck!!!

I do this trade to get 3 young prospects with a lot of potential along with a good SP in Wood. I hated to trade Cole but I needed more young pitchers to improve my prospect list. I also hope it works out for both teams and good luck to you as well Chuck.
