Cleveland accepts. I'm going to miss Machado a lot, but he's definitely one 25 year old that needs a five year franchise tag, and I'm planning on using mine on Harper. Also, my biggest weakness right now is at 2B. Really curious to see if Moncada can keep up his early season hard hitting, and maybe even lower the whiffs and copy/paste in slightly diluted form for Franchy. Being fairly new to the league, I had not begun my search yet for a player worthy of Franchising on my roster. But when a player like Manny Machado becomes available, you don't hesitate to do what you can to acquire him. Being in a rebuild and seeing more success than I planned a trade for Machado now, not only gives me a player to Franchise tag after the season, but he makes me a better team now. Taking on Duffy and his growing salary doesn't hurt me much, as I have money to play with. I did hate to see Cordero and Canning in his offer, but the price to acquire Manny was right. Thanks Henry, could not have gone smoother and I wish you luck!
