Hi Tony, as Read is a minor leaguer and was released, not a major leaguer on waivers, he would have to be a monthly minors claim or alternatively bid on a major league FA contract through blind bids.
If the former you would have to wait until May as you have already picked up the guy with the best name in the minors (initially I thought he was an April Fool's until I saw his numbers and the scouting reports and he actually looks really interesting, nice spot!).
