I put in a bid for Jason Heyward before the Friday deadline this past weekend. There has been a question that this bid should not be valid. I was not aware that the last week to bid for free agents was last weekend. I don't think it is established in the constitution of our league as to the last date. Since there was a previous free agent pickup by Scott Greene's Boston Padres in 2015 on the last weekend, I think my bid should stand. The transaction was as follows:

Boston Padres sign: Jerad Eickhoff P PHI - 3 years, $1.875M (AAS $625K) 15: $875K 16: $500K 17: $500K
-I would like other owners input on this. Tell me what you think. I will accept the outcome of the league's vote.

I don't know what I was thinking 2 years ago. I should not have been allowed to sign Eickhoff on the final weekend of the season because in a weekly league once the move was effective it would have been for the following Monday, and the season would already have been over so no period for this move to be effective.
I don't think this signing should stand. I should probably have some sort of 2-years-later penalty, even though Eickhoff hasn't been on my team for a while now.
