For me this is simply continuing to make a run at this year and really need holds and a lucky shamrock that Nicky Boy turns it around and helps out too.
Had not planned on keeping Eaton which Brodie will, so it should help both teams. Time will tell.

Well I am all in now. trading away all my valuable pieces for controllable assets. Trade includes an extra year of Adam Eaton over Nick (see what I did there?) with the prospect tag. Adam looked really good in the Nats lineup before his injury and is wasting away a roster spot on Jon's bench. I have no need for Jones and I feel getting a second round pick was worth the trade off. This was a situation where Eaton was worth more to me than to Jon given the prospect tag issue. This is a deal I feel that will work well for both sides.
