Been working on this deal for a week or so with Rich. We finally agreed on this tonight. He agrees to take Gardner because he needs an outfielder and his stats will help. My adding Mesoraco in the final year of his Pre-Arb contract was needed to get this deal done and he fills a catcher spot for LA. As for me I free up $11M in cap space which is very helpful and pull in a couple solid prospects, both who could see MLB playing time this season. I already have two solid catchers so I'm hoping that moving Mesoraco doesn't hurt my depth to badly but I don't have many other catchers to fall back on. All in all a nice even deal on both sides.
