I like this trade for both sides as Brodie needs offensive help and I need pitching help. Losing Ventura really hurt me. Shedding Phillips' contract allows me to attempt to sign a free agent pitcher this year and receiving two young, controllable arms is worth the cost of moving two highly respected bats since I have an abundance of offensive players.

My Trade Frenzy continues

I had the cap space to take on phillips contract allowing me to get both Bellinger and Buxton in this deal. I just traded away Cespedes and Polanco leaving me a big hole at OF. Bellinger is the top 1B in baseball and am going to enjoy having him for years to come.

I saw Hader as untouchable becase I really like his potential as an Ace moving forward and a floor of being a top Closer; but you have to give something to get something and I feel I have the pitching depth to make this move.

Very quick and painless negotiations with Ryan and I wish him well.
