2018 1st Round Minors Draft pick
to the Philadelphia Astros for
Tyler Krieger, 2B (CLE) - Prospect
Taylor Clarke, RHP (ARI) - Prospect
Devil Rays logic: I fell in love with these prospects while in trade discussions with Chuck for another deal. I wanted to circle back and find a way to add them to my roster. Any 1st rounder is tough to part with, but I feel these two players will help lessen the pain. Krieger is a top 10 2B prospect that has great on-base ability and speed. Clarke made it all the way to AA in his second pro season (first as a starter). He doesn't have a blazing fastball, but does possess pinpoint accuracy. He should move quickly and can easily be a 3-4 starter in the bigs. Great working with Chuck, yet again!
