Got a blockbuster....
Gary Sanchez 17-20: $500K Jake Lamb 17-19: $500K Greg Bird 17-19: $500K Yoenis Cespedes 17: $20M 18: $24M 19: $26M 20: $22M Ty Hensley (prospect)
for
Noah Syndergaard 17:$500K, 18:$500K, 19:$500K Chris Davis 17:$15, 18:$15, 19:$15M, 20:$15M
My reasoning is that I need pitching. My offense carried me to 2nd place last year, but I need a stud pitcher. I think Syndergaard is a top 5-10 SP. It really hurts to lose Sanchez, especially in a two catcher league, but I think he's got to regress a bit and I've still got Gattis. After a sub .200 2nd half, I'm OK losing Lamb, even though he is quite literally my only 3B. Bird is a wild card that also sucks to lose. For both guys, their main source of value is power, and between Stanton, Braun, Davis, Goldy, Cano, I'll hopefully be fine without them. I think Davis and Cespedes are pretty much a wash, but I like Davis more because he gives me cap flexibility (this will free up $6M this year, $10M next year, $12M the following year for me to fill other holes with solid FAs) and will fill CI for me, while I have plenty of depth in the OF.

Well when I said wanted to tear it down and build it back up I didn't think it would happen in less than a week.
The reasoning for this trade is simple...Get younger.
While I sure am giving up a lot I feel that the return is also immense. I am getting 3 young players that I definitely see being huge for me going forward. Sanchez was a finalist for ALROY in a very valuable position, Lamb was a beast last year till he hit a bit of an injury snag at the end of July and Greg Bird was really showing that he could be a top 1B in the end of 2015. While some regression is definitely possible (lamb with a .395 babip!) if two of these players turn out to fill their potential and Cespedes remains healthy I will definitely be happy. I think the one wildcard in this trade is where Cespedes ends up this off season.
I also think Cespedes and Davis are pretty much a wash but taking on the bit of salary helped me get that third piece + a prospect. I definitely can afford to take on the salary especially filling a hole where I am pretty thin at in the OF. I think both squads were a bit hesitant because there are some massive pieces flip flopping but I think that is a sign of a good deal.
