Please post here any free agent you're placing a Franchise Tag on to retain at $15M per year. You may Franchise Tag a player for an additional 1 to 5 years. When doing so please specify the number of years you're keeping that player.
You may trade a player after using your Franchise Tag on him. Our league rules do not allow you to trade a free agent and have the new team place a Franchise Tag on that player.

Det/Mil sign Yuli Gurriel to a 2 year franchise contract 2017 & 2018 = $15m Jon, just making sure you realize this Franchise Tag puts you $8.735M over cap with 38 MLB spots filled. This overage (max $10M over) in the offseason is allowed but you need to be under $175M by Opening Day. Jeez you guys are WAY TOO FAST for me. I can't keep up with this. Just saw you traded him. |

Is this the same Chad Bettis that has a career ERA over 5.00, career WHIP over 1.50 and career K/9 below 7 and will be 28 years old in April?

Haha. I feel he turned the corner last season and will be worth the money. Might bite me in the backside, but I feel that it is a good risk. |
