Technicality. Chuck we need to post this as an outright.
Philadelphia Astros outright Heyward. If he clears waivers after 48 hours THEN he goes to your Minor leagues. He can't just be sent to the Minors. Thanks.

Thanks, hopefully he doesn't drag me down to last place. Oh wait, I am already there.

Good claim Jay. Just the type of move a rebuilding team should make!

I was watching the Cubs/Cardinals game and they said everyone (all clubs scouting departments) including him know his swing is mechanically jacked up and he jams himself every time he swings at a fastball. I forget the buzzword but they said the organization was going to work to totally rebuild his swing in the offseason. They said the kind of adjustments are to much to do in-season. With the $ the Cubs sank in him, I am sure they will do everything they can to get him on track. Physically he is a good enough athlete if his attitude/commitment to change is there then it just might work. As with most things, time will tell.

I hope he works out for you. Welcome aboard to our league. It is a lot of fun. I am looking forward to trading ideas with you in the offseason.
