I am allowing this Detroit signing, even though his Fantrax roster shows 40 players. Partly my fault because I hadn't processed the trade that brought him Yelich/Santana/Pomeranz until just this morning. Because Jon is new to the league and because I had some part in this, I am allowing him to drop one minor leaguer so he can demote a minor leaguer from the 40-man, and have that 1 spot for Kershaw.

Scratch what I just posted. Detroit had released Derek Holland way back in early January. I hadn't removed him from Fantrax roster. He doesn't have to release a minor leaguer and has the spot available for Kershaw. Carry on...
