How the Waterfall draft works

Would like to use this for our Minors Draft. Last year it was never really discussed and each round was the same. 1st round was reverse order of final previous year's standings and then every round following did not change. To make this a bit more fair for all teams I propose this waterfall format.

The team that picks first in the 1st round goes to the end of the order in the 2nd round. Then the team that picks first in the 2nd round goes to the end of the order in the 3rd round. Meanwhile all other teams keep moving up a slot each round. Example below:

Round 1:
1. @scotty_Ballgame
2. @swa41969
3. @rhbrideau
4. @philofsports
5. @chriskunkle

Round 2:
1. @swa41969
2. @rhbrideau
3. @philofsports
4. @chriskunkle
5. @scotty_Ballgame

Round 3:
1. @rhbrideau
2. @philofsports
3. @chriskunkle
4. @scotty_Ballgame
5. @swa41969

FYI...

2014 Minors Draft (12 rounds) was exactly as I mentioned above. Same order every single round. Was reverse order of final 2013 standings.

2013 - our initial season, following initial majors and minors keepers we had some owner turnover and I gave everyone the opportunity to expand their parent franchise's minor leaguer by protecting 3 more from either of your AL or NL team. After that was done we had a 3 round mini Minors draft that went by exactly this same Waterfall format I'm proposing.

I think it a nice idea, but I don't think it is a good idea changing this the day of the draft.

Spoke to Scott he suggested I post on the board. I can't vote on my mobile but my vote would be no. I don't belive you should make changes like this 5 min before were about to start picking. Doesn't seem fair. I'm always against last minute rule changes unless it's unanimous but I'll go along with what everyone decides.

Guys, we're not voting on this next year. It will be a Waterfall draft in 2016. I have no idea how we went from Waterfall draft in Season 1 to a plain old, no change in order draft last year Season 2. That's probably my fault for not following the same process.

I'll revert back to how I listed Rounds 1 thru 3 before, reverse order of last year's standings. Once I then move around all the picks based on trades last season then I will open it up.

I have NY Diamondbacks first pick. When I post it we'll be on our way. Enjoy.
