1. Trading resumed/opened following end of 2014 regular season.
DECEMBER 15
2. Deadline to promote players who are no longer minor league eligible to the 40 man roster
3. Deadline to promote players who were outrighted the previous year back to the 40 man roster
4. Deadline to release minor league players
JANUARY 5
5. Deadline to exercise club options
6. First year player draft, slow draft begins. We'll plan on 12 rounds again just like we did last year. You'll only be allowed to pick as many players as you have Minors spots open for - maximum of 60.
7. Deadline to designate Restricted Free Agents and declare Franchise and Prospect Tags:
JANUARY 19
8. Deadline to release players before free agency
FEBRUARY 15
9. Free agency begins

sounds good. I forget what happens in between Dec. 15 (deadline to release minor leaguers) and Jan 5 (Draft) if there's a trade.

Relaxing these deadlines just a bit as we fill out the league with new owners. Adam IS returning to manage Colorado Rays and from what he told me, long term! That's good news. Jason Woodell has joined us to take over Seattle Braves. Scott Allen, friend of Philly Astros Chuck, is joining us to take over Pittsburgh Orioles. Welcome to both of you. That leaves us Texas Giants and Milwaukee Tigers to be filled. I have a guy from our DD2 league with interest and a few of his coworkers do too, so between the four of them I'm confident we'll have these teams filled in short time. Please try to take care of the following items as soon as you can: - Promote players who are no longer minor league eligible to the 40 man roster
- Promote players who were outrighted the previous year back to the 40 man roster
- Release minor league players you don't want on your farm anymore
Once all of this is done and rosters are updated, we'll shoot to designate Franchise/Restricted Tags and begin our Minors Draft shortly after the New Year. Thanks, Scott |

We'll use this date as it's a few days before we're scheduled to begin free agency. As always, all RFAs will be on the board first.

Hey guys. This is a general timeline of when things should happen in this offseason. Let's all try and be on the same page with these dates. If somebody has a conflict and isn't able to meet one of the deadlines, we can be flexible. Just let us all know. This schedule has worked pretty well in recent years so let's stay keep it the same.
DECEMBER 15
Deadline to promote players who are no longer minor league eligible to the 40 man roster (have exceeded 130 AB, 50 IP or 20 MLB pitching appearances)
Deadline to promote players who were outrighted the previous year back to the 40 man roster
Deadline to release minor league players
JANUARY 5
Deadline to exercise club options
Minors draft begins. We plan on 12 rounds. You're only be allowed to pick as many players as you have Minors spots open for - maximum of 60.
Deadline to designate Restricted Free Agents and declare Franchise and Prospect Tags:
JANUARY 19
