are we allowing the Diaz claim? He signed after we started (and probably completed, I'm not sure) the minors draft. I would have claimed him but I assumed he would only be eligible in next years' minors draft

Yea, when I asked you (Scott) the question previously about foreign players, Diaz was the one I was referencing. I thought he was ineligible.

Guys, I did not know. If Diaz signed after our Minors draft began, then he is NOT eligible to be claimed. If that's the case he'll need to be dropped from PITT Orioles. Can somebody please confirm for me. I am not doing this research. Each owner has to be responsible to do that on their own. Thank you.
**UPDATE - I did just look. Diaz signed with the Cardinals on March 9. We began our Minor League draft back in January. He will be removed from PIT Orioles roster. Since our pre-season FA contract offer period has ended, he should be eligible only to be drafted in next year's Minors draft. Tanaka signed after our Minors draft began but it was offered contracts during our FA offer period. Having said that, Diaz could also have been signed during that period but wasn't. So now he'll have to wait until 2015 Minors draft. Hope that makes sense.
