I'm wondering who you guys would protect for next year. It's a 6x6 league with $270 budgets.(C,C,1B,2B,SS,3B,CI,MI,5OF,U,9P,5BN) We can keep 8 total, but at least 3 of them must be the guys with an asterisk.
1B Goldschmidt 5 OF Gomez 13 OF Bruce 20 OF Heyward 11 OF Craig 6 OF Stanton 25 *2B Carpenter 6 *SS Segura 4 *SS E. Cabrera 4 *1B Rizzo 4 *1B Adams 2

I would probably go with all the six dollar and under guys and Bruce. Should give you a strong base and still plenty of money to buy back more power and pitching

I agree with Drew. Probably keep the $6 and under guys, and I like Stanton at $25 too.
I'm pretty sure Andrew would think Gomez is a steal at $13. He calls him the $20 million man!

I didn't know we could do this! I might have to post a question or two this year lol

Will leave you with a great team and a whole bunch of money for the auction.

Can I get your thoughts guys on my CBS keeper league (we do Roto AND H2H!), going on our 15th season I think. 10 teams, 30 man rosters with 2 additional spots for players (minors or injured) that you keep reserved all year and if kept the following season, you get a discount on keeper value. Snake draft. Players are kept in rounds drafted previous year, for 1 year. If you want to keep for 2 years they bump up a round. 3 year max contract and bump up 2 rounds in value. Can keep up to 12 players.
Here are my definites: Jordan Zimmermann (just acquired in trade) - will be 6th rounder for 2 years Oscar Taveras - will be 14th round for 3 years Mark Trumbo - 15th round, going into final season Doug Fister - 17th round, going into final season Michael Wacha - will be 18th round for 2 years Bryce Harper - 21st round, going into final season Jose Fernandez - will be 22nd round for 3 years Jose Altuve - 23rd round, going into final season Allen Craig - 30th round, going into final season Yasiel Puig - will be 30th round for 3 years Taijuan Walker - will be 32nd round for 3 years
I have 1 more spot and these players to consider: Kris Medlen - under contract for 1 more season, 8th round. I'm thinking of not keeping him and will be penalized my 8th round pick. Kyle Seager - would be 9th round for 1 year. Can't keep as 8th rounder for two years unless I keep Medlen and then I'd be allowed to collide Seager down to 9th round. Not keeping Medlen I lost that option. Evan Gattis - picked up in March last year so he's 24th round keeper value for 1 year. 23rd round if I want for 2 years. Hishashi Iwakuma - 27th round for 2 years, was a no brainer keeper until this injury. Not sure now. I can't keep for 1 year in 28th because I traded my 28th pick. Hyun-Jin Ryu - would be 31st round for 1 year, or 30th round for 2 years.
I'm leaning Iwakuma. Also love Seager but could probably get him back in the draft. I will have picks in Rounds 1-6 but then none until 10th. Thoughts?

Iwakuma or Gattis would be my choice. Is the deadline soon? I'd push it to the time limit to see if I could get an update on Iwakuma.

Might be in the minority, but I lean Ryu. Agree that the injury to Iwakuma is a concern and he's a bit older. Nothing unsustainable about Ryu's 2013 stats. Should rack up 15+ wins, plus ERA, solid WHIP, solid Ks. 30th is huge value for next two years. With rotation of Fernandez, Zimm, Fister, Wacha, Walker, Ryu, you should be able to focus on all bats with 4 or 5 of your first 6 picks.

My first thought was gattis. If you're competing this year, it might be best to skip over iwakuma for ryu if you want a pitcher

Thanks guys. All good points. Of course you're all not making my decision on this one final keeper any easier!
