This is a needs trade for me. I am getting a young SS with 4+ years of control in a prospect contract. Diaz has shown that he can hit 20-25 HR with a full season. I am willing to gamble on the big season Diaz had last year.
the hardest piece to let go of in this deal was Tellez. I think he will fit in nicely in the Jays lineup in a good HR ball park. As for Crawford; I think he is a much better "real life" player than a Roto fantasy player. Although I think he will eventually find his power stroke in the big leagues I don't feel that this will show for a few years. I feel like Crawford's potential is similar as to what Diaz showed last year.
This trade had some back and forth but it was nice to work with KC and fill a hole at SS.
