First blockbuster of the year goes to Detroit and St Louis.
Detroit sends the following to St. Louis
Brian Dozier 17&18 = $13m Jurickson Profar 2017 = $3m Nick Catellanos 17&18 = $500k 2017 1st round draft pick.
St. Louis sends the following to Detroit
Josh Donaldson 2017 = $2m, 18 = $3m Chris Carter 2017 = $2m, 18 = $3m Yonder Alonso 2017 = $3m Nathan Eovaldi 2017 = $3m Tyler Glasnow (minor) 2017 3rd round pick
My reasoning for this trade is simple trade of needs. I have Kipnis at 2B for 2017 so felt I could trade Dozier on a career year and pick up Donaldson to fill my 3B for the next two years. I felt that giving up profar and Cas to get Carter and Glasnow would help me in now (Carter) and in the future (Glasnow)

I confirm. Picking up Casty helps me to have an affordable option at 3B while also adding some more infield help in Profar and Dozier. I'm incredibly high on Profar and I think he has quite a bit of room to grow into a great hitter who can be a top of the order hitter. I also got younger across the board which is a big thing for me even if I did take on a bit of extra salary in the process. The first rounder was a nice bonus for me since it gave me a pick this year to hopefully get a fairly solid prospect to add to my system.

Commish approved. Will process on Fantrax soon when I get around to updating the new 2017 league site with releases, non-tenders, cap hits, etc.
