1. Is Cole Hamels our first ever Diamond Duos $100M+ contract? Wow! Currently 4 years, $104M ($26M AAS) to Texas Giants. Again, wow!
2. 4 years, $20M ($5M AAS) for Steven Vogt? Really? Vogt?

I signed Carlos Gomez for 5 years 104M in 2014 RFA, but Hamels wins

Doesnt surprise me at all. It's inflation, and it is biting all the way up the ladder. Some of the owners have a lot of cap room and you can't keep the cash in the bank. This year's price levels are definitely more representative than last year's were, IMO.
As for Vogt, i agree it is strange, but there aren't many catchers left and scarily Vogt is one of the better ones!

Oh yeah Andrew, I forgot about the 5 year, $100M+ Gomez deal. And didn't you cut him 1 year in?

Are we talking about the guy who hit 284 with 23 HR and 34 SB last year?

Yea, the back of the Gomez deal will be killer since it was so back loaded, but for now it looks ok. But Hamels, wow.
And James Loney is looking like a hell of a bargain now.

Doesn't an AAS of 26 million require 5 years?
